About Oakridge
Oakridge runs from West 41st Avenue south to West 57th Avenue, with Granville Street on the west side. Oak Street and Cambie Street both run north-south through it and are two of the busiest roads in Vancouver. The Canada Line runs along Cambie, with Oakridge-41st Avenue station next to the old Oakridge Centre site and Langara-49th Avenue station near Langara College. Oakridge Centre opened in 1959 at 41st and Cambie and closed in 2020 to be rebuilt as Oakridge Park. Most houses went up in the 1950s and 1960s as bungalows, and many have since been replaced by larger multi-level homes.
